Overwhelmed?

You probably started your business in order to have the flexibility to work on your terms, perhaps as a direct result of the pandemic. Your workload begins to increase and you then find that you’re working evenings and weekends. You just cannot take on any more work and are struggling to keep up with demand. It’s at this point that you understand the need to start outsourcing but are faced with the dilemma; you cannot find a specialist HR VA.


You can either continue as you are, feeling overwhelmed and stressed, working every hour and still struggling to get everything done. But you will eventually reach a point where you can no longer expand your HR Consultancy. You may even need to start turning work away.


Is there an underlying reason why you aren’t ready to work with a VA? Maybe you are worried about the time that it will take to build a good working relationship with your HR VA? It does take a while to find your pattern of working with a VA but the ongoing regular help can be a life saver.


Then why not get assistance from someone with a strong generalist background to delegate to? Not only will it save you time, but my experience with other HR Consultants can be invaluable.


You have to be at the point where you feel that you can let go of the work of course. However, your consultancy will be limited to what you can deliver unless you are willing to let others with HR experience to get involved. If you aren’t willing to take action, you will continue to be less productive than you could be.


If you have made the decision that you want to continue growing and take your business to the next level, it’s time to create a plan. Can you ask your connections for recommendations? What do you want to outsource? Invest the time in preparing to outsource, because it will help you realise your ambitions for your business.
